Save Feathercoin
-
The word about Feathercoin needs to be spread to all the non believers, so that they are converted.
I suggest everyone creates a WordPress blog detailing the benefits of Feathercoin
1. Feathercoin doesn’t need saving. It’s doing fine. Anyone that comes in saying that Feathercoin needs to be “saved” or that they have the “solution to save Feathercoin” is automatically suspect as a scheister.
2. Let’s avoid religious imagery to promote something decidedly agnostic. “Converting non-believers” has never worked. Letting the merits of something you do stand alone and having it be someone’s choice is what gives something power.
3. WordPress blog spam may have decent at first SEO if a bunch pop up with similar information, search engines will just start filtering it out. Worse, your branding may get associated with negative words that send pages right through the wrong side of the filter of results.
That is not to say that there aren’t plenty of beneficial projects people have been working on that you can be a part of! Feel free to have a look around this forum to see what outreach is being attempted in order to bring value and work to Feathercoin and education to the public about cryptocurrency on the whole.
Welcome and enjoy your stay.

It’s a good effort but I’m going to have to agree with HopeStillFlies… You could take part in my facebook campaign though? :) I’m offering a free feathercoin for anyone who can invite 300 friends or more to the facebook event :)
-
How about creating a Feathercoin pub alliance, an iPhone app like Blockchain and a forum to promote all Feathercoin merchants, not necessarily in that order.
-
+1 on that HopeStillFlies

One last reply before i bugger off for the day.
I was thinking about this last night…
Even if the wiki entry was deleted… In time it would come back.
I’ll think about the whole thing a little more and expand upon this idea when I get back.

As others have said FTC does not need to be saved. It will grow along with the community. All we need to do is keep spreading the word and doing our bit to get the name out there. Everytime you purchase something with FTC or tell somebody about it you’re doing your part. That’s all we need.
I hold a great deal of respect for wikipedia.
With that said, I wouldn’t agree with the statement that all of their articles are void of bias.
1 Feathercoin does need saving and its not doing fine. It was 11th in the league tables when I first posted and now languishing in 12th

loneranger,
13th to be more correct, but would ppl really trust pre-mined coins like for example quark, nxt, dogecoin ?
I think they will go down a lot. Just use the time to join the communitie and help us by mining and look at FTC for the long run. -
All coins have been falling since this was posted, but feathercoin is now in 20th place if you exclude non-minable and pre-mined.
Feathercoins have more competition now I think :)
-
I think your right. Its been a downward trend since December give or take.
Dedication and hard work prevails though.!
