Market - Koolio Escrow Now LIVE
-
The Koolio escrow service is now live on the Feathercoin Market site. This will only apply to auctions where the buyer selects to use Koolio escrow.
When selling an item you need to tick the Koolio escrow payment option and input a valid Feathercoin address for the escrow service to send the fund on to.

When a user buys an item they are shown an address to send payment to. The escrow service is informed of the sale and will be expecting payment.
Nice, this is one of the things what we needed.
Thanks -
Has anyone used this service yet? Please talk about your experience.

Let’s hear it!

How does the escrow work for sellers? The instructions aren’t really clear on the marketplace site.
If I just concluded an auction as the seller, and the buyer sent the FTC to the Koolio escrow address they were given, is Koolio then supposed to contact me and let me know they have the funds in escrow and I should ship the item? If so, how long after the buyer pays should I expect Koolio to notify me? Will they communicate by PM on the Feathercoin marketplace site, or by email?
What does live on the marketplace site mean - does this mean Koolio is automatically notified of the ended auction and the contact info for the seller, so they can notify me they have received payment?
Or do I need to go to the Koolio website and initiate the process first with “Start Escrow Now”?
Thanks for any assistance - this is my first time using the escrow.

Asking yet again…could I get an answer on how exactly to confirm that Koolio has the funds in escrow?
I’m sorry for the delay Catnip. As soon as I get past the UNOCS service launch, I’ll make sure I address market questions. Again, sorry for the slight delay.

Okay thanks…but I do have an auction ready to ship to the buyer, but can’t get any confirmation from Koolio that they received the FTC (I tried contacting them directly through their website, no answer), nor is there anything on the FTC Market showing this, nor any instructions at all for using escrow for that matter.
When I listed the auction I input my FTC wallet address for Koolio to send the funds to, and when the auction ended the buyer was given a wallet address to send the FTC to Koolio. And the trail ends there. No contact from Koolio, no instructions given on how to contact them, nothing about how to send them the postal tracking code, no confirmation conveyed to me either directly from Koolio or from the FTC Market that Koolio did receive the funds.
Koolio’s page for Feathercoin Markets, https://www.koolioescrow.com/feathercoin-markets/ is bare bones right now and only seems to say the Feathercoin Markets feature “will be launching soon after testing” and the terms of service and procedures are yet to be posted.
I’m not ticked off so much as just getting the impression I’m probably the first ever to actually use this service with the FTC Market, and as such am the guinea pig for testing it out :) Let’s just say it still needs a lot of work, and wasn’t yet ready to launch without testing it out behind the scenes first. I see escrow is now unavailable as an option for new auctions. I’m just glad this is a small item and not anything expensive.
We all want FTC to succeed, and part of making it succeed is being sure something is ready for prime time *before* it is rolled out. That last comment is directed only at the FTC Market by the way, and not necessarily anything else right now, lest someone try to read too much into it…

Thanks. I heard from Koolio today so everything appears to be a go now.

Isn’t the response from Kollio escrow automated? If not, does anyone know if there are plans to get it automated? Seems odd to have a system like this that’s entirely manual.
Yes, definitely need some smooth automation.
