Computer Shop Partnership
-
Hello FTC Community,
i represent a computer shop based in Oxford, UK.
I am interested in offering a few product lines up for sale for FTC. I specifically think that GPUs would be a good start and wondered which models the community think would be most sought after.
If any mods want to talk further partnership just send me a message.
Thanks

[/quote]Just a suggestion here, I would recommend selling items that can be used to benefit FTC/Crypto production like GPUs Coolers, RAM and so forth and expand from there. As far as GPUs are concerned, the current ATI lineup is great. The 7950 is currently the champ, but 7850 is good too. Also, previous generation ATI products might be available too for a better price.
Below is a link to the Bitcoin mining hardware comparison wiki. Even though it’s for Bitcoin FTC will have similar results.

Great, just the sort of feedback I was looking for.
Any other suggestions for parts that the community would like to see available for FTC please keep rolling in.

pcie risers. You would make a lot of money if you could design rig cases that are easy to use. Currently people have to build their own. This is not always the easiest task or the best looking.

+1 on both suggestions. You could sell modified milk crates to the mining community. Also maybe USB sticks for OS, case fans, and PSU’s

btw, in the name of UNOCS you could think about accepting pxc and wdc for payment to!!!
Would strengthen all UNOCS partner and would gain more interest for your shop = more potentially costumers;-)

Would you consider worldwide shipping? :)

Finally something UK based, really hyped. Really looking forward to that as im going to buy a 7950 or a 7970 in a month or two time 8)

This is brilliant news! If you can make it to the Oxford Blue pub this Saturday for our meet then maybe we can have a chat about some Feathercoin POS ideas for your shop. 8)

How about offering pre configurated mining rigs in different sizes?
How about offering a mining rig configurator? Some forum members for sure would assist you.

Worldwide shipping is a possibility and something that we will definitely look into.
I think to begin with we will start with GPUs, risers and preconfigured dual card rigs.
I’ve been doing some internal testing and we are getting rigs mining at just over 1Mhs with dual 7950’s. I expect we can get this a bit higher with some tweaking.
Now looking at how small we can make the rigs without running into thermal issues.
Cheers for all the feedback folks :)
