I remember hearing a lot about the importance of renaming BTC to XBT (XBC is taken) for currency code regulations. Is this something we should look into now for feathercoin?
Here are a couple threads with more info on what I mean and why it’s important:

As you can see, very popular XE.com uses XBT: http://www.xe.com/currency/xbt-bitcoin
I’m not entirely sure what the implications would be for not doing this, so let’s discuss.

Sounds good but imo we are light years away from thinking about this - actually we better focus our energy to current/near future projects/steps
Thanks for the input. However, I was thinking now is the perfect time to take care of it because it will only be harder the more we wait. For example, it would be near impossible, and quite a hassle, to change BTC to XBT now, but had they done it earlier when BTC was where FTC is now, it would have been far easier.
I do understand the dev team and others have a lot on their plate currently, but being part of the PR Team I could help bring it public (if it is agreed to be in the best interest of FTC)

tell it to the PR team leader/manager or a global manager … or justabitoftime!

Actually this is a good point. Twitter uses $ symbol for stocks and I keep using the $FTC tag when talking prices on the market place which clashes with First Trust Large Cap Growth AlphaDEX Fund.
How would we go about doing this? Could show how serious we are too.

Sunny King’s new coin, Primecoin already started out with the naming scheme, being XPM
