      Good news. The Feathercoin Market BETA has now launched.

      This site allows people to trade with each other without having to do so over forums.

      We are releasing this now only to the community here as we are still in Beta. Please use the system if you want to trade and let us know if you find any bugs, you can post them to the thread here and we will endeavour to resolve them as quickly as we can. After 24 hours have passed and any bugs found have been resolved we will officially launch this into the wider community. Until then try to keep this under your hat. We will not add a market link on to this website until we have completed this initial test phase.

      [b]Market Development[/b]

      The site is simple at the moment and we have plans to evolve the system into a better solution with the addition of online wallets and built in escrow. This would allow people to hold Feathers on the market and pay through the system instead of contacting the seller for details. The escrow would hold the coins until goods have arrived and the buyer informs the system or a certain amount of time has passed, just in case the buyer has forgotten.

      [b]Project Focus[/b]

      The focus now is largely on merchant adoption. Rather than just ask merchants to use Feathercoin we are working to provide the tools to make this happen. The idea is that we do most of the hard work so merchants do not have to. We are asking merchants to tell us what they need and then feed that back into our development.

      Some of the tools planned are as follow.

      [*]Create Feathercoin shopping carts for many well known systems.
      [*]Create an API for Feathercoin integration. This will allow querying of the value of FTC in different currencies or conversion of different currencies into FTC
      [*]Make an online tool available for generating custom graphics with URLs if desired that can be handled by the client. We are working on client updates to facilitate this.
      [*]Put together our own Official Feathercoin merchandise shop as a demonstration of the above tools.

      All the merchant tools will be bundled together on the official site. If you have the experience and would like to get involved with feature development then please let me know.

      Koolio has launched his escrow service which he will be expanding over time. He supports FTC as well as other currencies.

            This is a live BETA so auctions placed will not be removed. I hope to see several auctions on the site for tomorrow when we announce this far and wide :)

                      That’s being worked on (waiting on a third party’s API)… in the meantime, I can act as a middleman.
