It was only meant to be a fun mascot, not a logo or slogan or the like. It was the ‘Feather dude’ as justabitoftime called him that I really thought would be a fun community character… I just put him on the bill as an example and possibly for use within the forum itself. I have to agree, I don’t think that bill really captures the professional image that we wan’t project on merchant sites and so forth.
And of course, I’m happy to try my hand at other less frivolous imagery should it be requested or required.
Really loving Featherdude. He’s the character that laughs at all the chicken talk on trollbox. :)

@Justabitotime You might be onto something. Instead of an official logo (because it’s not centralized) it could simply be a sample of feathercoin logos from different projects, business, charities. Each larger logo could have a different set of logos inside. I’m still partial to projecting an image of innovation and community.
That would be great seeing different logos related to different aspects of where FTC can be applied.

Better associate it with a coin (gold coin !? ) than with fiat :D
Featherdude is awesome. We should have more of this. I’m just seeing a lot of missed opportunities in other cryptocurrencies to make real progress. I don’t understand the passive market model. Some solutions need several steps to work.

Just a suggest: Drop the dollar signs. Gives me the creeps. People are really stupid these days. Don’t make it look anything like a dollar. Not even like Monopoly money.Besides we should have our own symbol in those corners.
In feather we trust is cute. Veris in Numeris, which BTC uses is stronger. We need something that rises above faith in a brand or faith in security as with BTC.
We’re not just trying to make transactions safer, we want to innovate and connect people so they can take care of business out of the shadow of both mismanagement of the economy and straight up corruption.
I was thinking of maybe a diamond shaped coin with a border of tiny feathers and an F shaped figure formed from:
two thin lines for the stem
two individual lines across, bottom one shorter
diamond or pyramid shaped rivets at the corners, joins, and ends of the lines
Maybe one of the following quotes
“populus potestatem”
“simplex veritatis”
“Mundi est non satis”I used google translate because my latin is crappy…
Several steps is the key. Building a coin, tossing up a few faucets and getting listed on an exchange is the absolute bare minimum. We need to keep pushing with our initiatives and find ways to bridge the gap from here to other markets.
We’re 810+, lets keep this membership driving pushing forward. It just takes a each of us to look for one more person that would ENHANCE the community.

The whole ASIC thing may have increased the safety of the network, but it has cut into BTCers’ creativity.
Can’t even get a response to a thread about buying 1 module with Avalon case/psu/control board.

Popped in just for a second to say: 820 babieee!

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I had an idea for promotion. Of course this is just an idea, so feel free to pick at it or shoot it down… What if someone could code a small online store that accepts only FTC, and people could sign up and sell their FTC goods, like feathercoin key chains, zippos, prints/art, shirts and other small items that would be easy to produce and ship… I got the idea from this http://openbitcoinstore.com/ and thought why couldn’t someone do that with feathercoin? Not only a place to use FTC to buy stuff, but a place to get cool small ftc-centric items to get the word out… Anyway, just a thought… Fire away;)
Every bit counts, it really does. While some coin communities are at each others throats arguing about nonsense, we have people that are willing to help move this coin forward. Thank you.
