31'000 FTC sent into the void... lost?
-
hello everyone,
i have been mining and buying FTC for about a month now.
yesterday, at the worst possible moment during the attack, i transferred 31’000 FTC to my BTC-e account. (very very stupid move, i know)
here’s the transaction:
http://ftc.cryptocoinexplorer.com/address/6sRkihFyqfmTNMXNjzMiEYXGpsx6e3WDoithe transaction was part of block 33774, which is a very suspicious block.
i have a very bad feeling about this…
normally on BTC-e the transaction shows up on “uncommited transaction” and shows the number of confirmations, but my transaction never showed up at all.
in my FTC client (updated with checkpoints) the transaction shows 364 confirmations. (transaction id: 0b1c9155b2f364d92663646778c2350e570ad6ef58ded98f85e65251b609c702)
are my FTC’s lost?
thank you very much for any support.

31,000 is a lot to send in one transaction :o. I tested the water by sending 20FTC about 12 hours ago, and its not showing up in BTC-e yet, the transaction is up to 250 confirmations.
For the moment i’m going to wait, as ive been finding BTC-e is a little slow to update over the last couple of days.
-
Ouch, looks like it.
*edit*
Ah wait, just found you in the payout list on that block. Not sure now. -
I have no correspondence with BTC-e and do not know what they are doing. It seems to me that they have suspended their daemons to safe guard themselves and will double check the blockchain manually before processing it again.
I have sent a small amount to BTC-e and am waiting to see when transactions start moving again.
On the positive side, if it takes a long time for people to transfer their ftc to to btce to sell, they won’t be able to dump them and push down the price.

It’s been my experience in the last week that if I send a few small transactions to BTC-E, all spaced about an hour apart, that they all deposit into my account at the same time. This adds credence to what Bush is saying, that they are manually releasing deposits once they’ve double checked them. I’m not seeing pending FTC deposits and never have on BTC-E. I do for every other currency that I trade though.

Don’t you just love BTC-e support.
I enjoy getting the pre-generated emails that are off topic to the questions you ask 9 out of 10 times

thanks everyone for the infos, i’m going to make a btc-e ticket. hopefully the ftc’s are not lost and they’re just slow because of manual processing.
-
I’d like to mention that BTC-e have been the best at dealing with this sort of thing.
Manual confirmations makes sense.
-
My 25 FTC got stuck a few days back. Was showing 8 confirms while it was over 50 in the network.
I mailed them and received a one liner ‘takes 10 confirms on network to deposit’. It eventually turned up later though.
I would wait a while and see. Though I can understand how worried you would be.
-
I just got credited this morning (PST) and it was over 300 confirmations, but yea for such a high amount you should send them a ticket.
-
Try doing a -rescan option from the prompt when running feathercoin.
-
436 confirmations later, I got my wallet to btc-e transfer completed. took pretty well 24 hours.
-
A lot of coins so they probably were suspicious, that is likely why it took so many confirmations.
That’s anywhere these days. I deal w/a lot of shopping cart vendors daily and had to request direct contact to someone above level/tier 1 support or I was leaving (for the very reason you mention).
From their side, they get so many idiotic questions that it overloads them. So they give the first responder job to the intern/new hires and give them scripts to respond w/until the Customer replies for more help. Then it’s bumped up to someone who knows a little more and on and on until someone can finally solve your problem. And it usually only takes a few minutes once you reach that person who actually knows WTFTAD. ;)

hello everyone,
i received my coins!!! i’m very relieved now.
i contacted BTC-e support and they were very helpful. they credited the FTC to my account manually.
i think they processed FTC deposits manually for a while, like bushstar said.
thanks for your support,
